Who we serve · Crypto & funds
Cross-border crypto without a surprise bill
Offshore exchanges, staking, airdrops, foreign ETFs that are quietly PFICs. Each one has its own reporting line, and the interest on a missed PFIC compounds from the year you bought.
Structural risks
The three crypto traps
01A European ETF that is a PFIC
Most non-US funds and ETFs are passive by definition. Without a QEF or mark-to-market election, the excess-distribution regime applies the top rate plus interest back to the purchase year.
02Exchanges you cannot prove
A defunct offshore exchange does not remove the reporting obligation — it changes the evidence problem. Reconstruction is possible; silence is not.
03Staking and airdrop income
Whether receipt is income at the moment of receipt, and at what value, decides both the ordinary income line and the cost basis of everything sold later.
Filings we own
Crypto and fund reporting
The disclosure layer, the valuation layer, and the elections that keep historical returns from being reopened.
